Heart and mind – their respective roles –

I once went through a period of uncertainty about my career path, reading many business books, self-help books, and psychology books. These books offered various methods for logical analysis and decision-making.

While it certainly includes business books, psychology, being the study of the "mind," contains a lot of information about the "mechanisms and structure of the mind."

I read a lot of books about it because I wanted to understand how it worked. Even now, if you go to a bookstore...I have a huge collection of business books, self-help books, and books on psychology (the workings of the mind). In other words, there is a huge amount of theory piled up, as shown in the following book:

As a result, I learned one thing.

The result of reading the book: The more I read, the less I understand!!!
To be honest, there's so much information it's driving me crazy.

Ultimately, I reached a point where I couldn't do anything else, so I started listening to my own heart and creating my own unique theory. Perhaps it's because I'm naturally the type of person who likes to think things through to the end.

My heart isSomething that balances the outside (the surrounding environment/situation) and the inside (oneself). The theory is that "

  • Mind; what one feels about its balance
  • Head; a device for analyzing, disassembling, and reassembling.
  • heart; lord
  • Head; assistant

To put it another way,

  • Mind; a mechanism that seeks a better balance between "the outside (=situation) and the inside (=self)".
(Something feels comfortable → leave it as is)
(Something unpleasant → They want to move towards something pleasant by changing something around them, or by distancing themselves from the unpleasant thing and going somewhere else.)
  • The mind; a mechanism for scrutinizing whether the balance desired by the heart is correct, and for creating the logic (path) to achieve that balance.

Can you get a sense of the atmosphere, even just from that?

So in the end,The grand question, "How should I live this life?", can be answered by deciding what to do based on "how you feel" in your heart.

The heart knows everything.Because (to reiterate)

Mind = A device that seeks a good balance between the outside and inside, and judges the current situation. That's why.
The mind (the device that analyzes, deconstructs, and reconstructs) acts as an assistant to the heart as it pursues a better "balance = comfort."is.

Therefore,

No matter how much you "think" about it, you won't find the answer. Therefore, it shouldn't be possible.
(Incidentally, I was so intellectually savvy that I didn't understand that for a long time.)

When you're in trouble, first (!!) ask your heart.

If you feel with your heart, you will surely know the path you should take and the people you should associate with. Don't think with your head.
