Characteristics of the ESFJ (Consul/Sociable Type) personality
ESFJs are people-loving types and are incredibly warm and friendly towards others.
Sensational (S) typeとJudgment (J) typeBy leveraging the strengths of both parties, we meticulously gather specific details about the other party to enable informed decision-making. Based on this information, we then make appropriate judgments.
Furthermore, they are skilled at sensing other people's feelings and understanding their perspectives, and they excel at bringing out the best in others.
Being a people-oriented type, they have an exceptionally strong desire to be liked by others and to have everything go smoothly in their relationships with people, and they are outstanding at supporting others.
For these reasons, ESFJs have a natural talent for making people feel comfortable, and people want to be around them. As a result, many people are drawn to ESFJs.
ESFJs are responsible, reliable, and dependable types. They prioritize stability and reliability, paying meticulous attention to every detail of their daily lives. They are exceptionally good at sensing and discerning what needs to be done, and will do whatever it takes to achieve it. They are the type of person who excels at and enjoys doing just that.
ESFJs are the type of people who need validation from others to feel good about themselves. Therefore, they are hurt when they feel ignored or when treated coldly. They cannot understand a lack of empathy. They are very caring and kind people who feel joy when others are happy.
ESFJs want their efforts to be recognized and appreciated. They have a very strong sense of empathy for others, are caring and attentive, and readily offer concrete support.
On the other hand, ESFJs are very compassionate people, so they may sometimes struggle to confront or accept the unpleasant or negative aspects of people they care about.
In terms of their view of society, ESFJs value authoritative laws and rules and believe others should do the same. They are tradition-oriented types who prefer to do things the same way they have always done, rather than challenging the unprecedented or venturing into uncharted territory.
Perhaps because of this, ESFJs, in their pursuit of security, sometimes accept existing systems without question and become fixated on those systems and rules. And sometimes they accept them blindly without understanding the rules or questioning them at all.
When an ESFJ is in a very healthy mental state, they behave as follows:
Compassionate and warm, cooperative, thoughtful, down-to-earth, realistic, thorough, consistent, well-organized, enthusiastic, energetic and proactive.
These are people who prefer a stable lifestyle and desire to live a peaceful and fulfilling life with rich interactions with friends and family.

comment
ESFJs are nice people, but they're stubborn. I wish they'd use their Ne (third function) more often, be more humorous, and broaden their perspective.
It's kind of pathetic, or rather, it's sad to see them being exploited by self-serving types like ESTJs, ISTJs, and ISFJs, who are overworked but get paid very little.
