ISFP (Artist type)This article explains relationships and romantic relationships.
The following is a quote (with some modifications) from "Let's Look at the World from the Perspective of MBTI Personality Type Theory" (website no longer exists).
About ISFP relationships
As an introverted feeling (Fi) type, they are very sincere and try to accept others with compassion.
At first, they might seem somewhat distant and reserved. They might appear calm and formal, and perhaps even a little nervous or overly concerned with many things.
They tend to be reserved and keep their feelings and thoughts to themselves. However, they are surprisingly friendly and value their friends. They can relax and enjoy themselves with people they know well.
When I see someone in need, I feel a strong sense of sympathy and think about what I can do to help, however small. Because I am extroverted sensing (Se) dominant, I tend to look for ways to help through concrete actions rather than words.
Sometimes they speak in a gentle, conversational manner, and other times they try to convey the facts as they are, without letting their emotions get in the way.
Strong convictions can sometimes be expressed unilaterally, which may be admired or perceived as arrogant. This is because, even though good intentions are kept hidden within, they are often expressed in the style of extroverted thinking (Te). Please be aware of this unfortunate tendency.
They try to convey and share their exciting discoveries and moving experiences with others.
When you're alone, your introverted feeling (Fi) and introverted intuition (Ni) can get stuck in a loop, which can be very stressful. Therefore, contact with others and your surroundings is essential to prevent this.
About relationships for ISFPs
As an introverted feeling (Fi) type, they can be awkward at first and have difficulty opening up and getting to know people easily.
Sometimes, we end up acting in ways that contradict our hidden desire for attention. However, this is a kind of way of hiding our shyness; deep down, we're waiting to be approached. This is the sad fate of introverted feeling (Fi) dominant types.
It may be very difficult to understand, but don't be discouraged. The other person should see through this and gently yet firmly lead you, helping you open up. It would be good to emulate people who frequently use extroverted feeling (Fe).
Once they open up, the strong introverted feeling (Fi) emotions that they had kept hidden until then will come out honestly, and they will become a very natural and loyal lover. They will pour all their love into you.
ISFPs love music and nature, and are skilled at romance, valuing mood very much.
I genuinely enjoy what I find fun, and I genuinely feel good when something feels good. More than anything, I cherish the present moment and want to share these things with others.
Because introverted feeling (Fi) and extroverted sensing (Se) work together, you feel the need to reaffirm your love for each other at every opportunity.
They are considerate of others and show it through practical actions. They are very devoted and caring, so most people will notice their affection.
When an ISFP does something for you, such as making something for you, be sure to express your gratitude and cherish it. This is because, although ISFPs may not express it often in words, they harbor deep affection in their hearts. They will be saddened if their efforts are treated carelessly.
Regarding married life, being an extroverted sensing (Se) type, you have a realistic approach to life. You may be quick to spend money on enjoyment, but by the time you reach adulthood, your introverted intuition (Ni) will also be more active, so things shouldn't get too bad.
Even if their single life is quite messy, in married life they will likely be attentive and reliable. NP types might find this overly meticulous, but in most cases, it will be appreciated.
For ISFPs, showing affection to others, animals, and plants in some form is a central theme in their lives. Whether or not ISFPs themselves are aware of this is unclear. However, if they don't have such opportunities, they may end up living a solitary, irregular, and disorganized life.
To prevent such situations, I want to use my extroverted thinking (Te) to proactively engage with those around me with a sense of purpose and seize a better reality.
ENTPs, who are in a dual relationship, INTJs, who are in an active relationship, and ESFJs, who are in a mirror image relationship, are said to be compatible, so please keep that in mind.
