Two types of human behavioral patterns

  • (1) A person who stays true to themselves
    • → Make the people around you conform to you (as a person) (1A)
    • → Find someone who will adapt to you (1B)
  • (2) People who go along with those around them
    • → Adapt to one's surrounding environment (2A)

The above three patterns are possible.

As you can see, the outcome can vary depending on how you handle the situation.

Have you ever considered why people behave differently in these situations?

Things that can be changed and things that cannot be changed

As a mechanism, humans"Outside events"They will try their best to process and deal with it.

I believe that differences in how things are perceived at that time are what create such differences.

You may also know it as the Prayer of Serenity or the Prayer of Tranquility. The Prayer of RemembranceAre you familiar with this?

God, grant me the strength to calmly accept the things I cannot change.
The courage to change what needs to be changed.
And grant them the wisdom to distinguish between what cannot be changed and what should be changed.

Quoted from the Serenity Prayerhttps://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%83%8B%E3%83%BC%E3%83%90%E3%83%BC%E3%81%AE%E7%A5%88%E3%82%8A

Yes, as you may have noticed, things

3. Things that can be changed 4. Things that cannot be changedThere are two options.

In other words,

3; (Without moving oneself) one can believe that one can change the people around them → Make the people around you conform to you (the person you are) (1A)

3. You may not be able to change all people, but there may be some who like you, so find an environment where you can be yourself → find people who will adapt to you (1B)

4; (I cannot move) The environment cannot be changed and I cannot move either.i → Adapt to the surrounding environment (2A)

In other words,

Manipulating the surroundings ⇔ Adapting to the surroundings

1A1B2A

And it creates a magnificent gradient,This is thought to be one of the underlying mechanisms behind human behavior. That's very interesting.

As you can see, there are several ways to deal with things. Which approach will you take? I hope this helps you consider how to respond.

Also,People whose attention tends to be directed inward(People who work silently or get lost in thought)People who tend to look outwardsThere are people who observe the outside world and are active.
